If you don’t have a facebook page, an instagram account, a twitter account, and even a snap chat for your business, then I guarantee you are losing out big time. The best part about these methods is that they’re free for the most part. So if you have no budget, you can find ways to increase your following and engage with your potential customers. It will be a little harder, but it won’t cost you anything out of your pocket.

But any business owner with a budget would be smart to spend on advertising. I mean if you’re doing well, you have a lot of work to do, and adding marketing efforts to your plate might not be the best option for you.

So what’s the best way to spend money on advertising in 2016?

We’ll start with facebook dark post ads. All that means is news feed ads. You know when you’re scrolling through facebook and an ad comes up on your feed? Most of us don’t even realize it’s an ad. It’s very non intrusive, it’s almost like just another story on your news feed. This can get expensive when you don’t know what you’re doing, so don’t expect unbelievable results. If it’s not working, it’s not Facebook’s fault. Either you’re ad copy was ineffective, or you didn’t target it properly.

There’s also another form of advertising that seems to be going unnoticed because of the difficulty to find people who can successfully provide this service. This marketing technique just might be the most effective way to market your business in 2016. It’s a marketing technique that puts the potential customer in control. And if you’re potential customer feels in control, you have a HUGE advantage over your competition. Because most people are trying to interrupt their prospects attention, but we’ve become smarter as consumers. We know when someone is trying to distract us, and disrupt our attention.

What’s the marketing method?

Search engine optimization or SEO. The idea of being ranked #1 on Google. I’m not talking about Google ads, that can be much more expensive, and again, we’ve become smarter as consumers, and boy do we hate getting sold to! Google’s ads literally say ad on them, and that’s probably a huge reason why most people skip over the ads and click the first organic result the majority of the time.

So what’s really going on when people find your service #1 on Google? People are in need of something, so they turn to Google. Now they are in full control, they’re going to find what they’re looking for and they’re going to choose who they want to give their business to. They’re in full control, and the best part for you is when they find you, you have their attention! And as long as your on-page marketing is up to par, they will be engaged, and they will be eager to call you right away so you can provide the solution to their problem.
